The Scholarship & Human Rights committee issues official SWS statements in support of scholars' academic freedoms and and emerging political issues that affect prospects for a just and equitable society.

Chairing this committee is a duty of the SWS Past President.  SWS members may request a certain action by emailing the Chair.  She acts on behalf of SWS, in consultation with its executive council.
