2012 Distinguished Feminist Lecture Professor Christine Williams, Chair of Sociology at the University of Texas at Austin, will deliver the 2012 SWS Distinguished Feminist Lecture in Denver, tackling the topic of gender and work. Dr. Williams served as editor of Gender & Society from 2003-2006. Her most recent book is Inside Toyland:  Working, Shopping, and Social Inequality. She is currently conducting a study (with Professor Chandra Muller) on women scientists in the oil and gas industry.
SWS Heads to the Rockies Join us in Denver this August for the SWS Summer Meeting. Held in conjunction with the ASA, the meeting takes place from August 17 – 20, 2012.
